  • Keyword placement on the page: try placing them in headers such as H tags (H tags are HTML code that is used to provide a title and description for individual sections of websites) or using ALT tags (ALT text is the alternate, non-text content).


  • Make sure that your real estate site contains information about you. You want people to know who they are dealing with!


  • Make sure that all individual elements on the page are optimized as well. For example, photos, videos, and PDF brochures can all be enhanced with keywords as well. People search for business through avenues like YouTube and Google Images


  • Make sure that you have tracking information. For example, Google Analytics is a great tool to opt into. Just start an account on Google, and link your domain. Take the provided code and give it to your website developer. The Google Analytics dashboard will tell you how many people visit per day, which pages they visit, and for how long. Then, based on that user behavior, you can continue to add valuable content on the best performing pages.


  • Make sure to take the URL and submit them to various directories that are relevant to your line of business. These not only act as referral hubs for users, but they also add to your domain's credibility. The more websites feature your website, the more Google favors you as a credible business to feature on the results page.
